Schioppettino is the native Friulian red that nearly disappeared and now has its own communal denomination at Prepotto, a rare distinction in Italy. Grown by La Viarte on ponca at 80–180 m. Green pepper and red fruit, fresher and more perfumed than classic Italian reds.
