Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They help the site function properly, remember your preferences and improve your browsing experience.

We also use similar technologies, such as local storage (localStorage), which save data directly in your browser (they are not sent to the server). We treat them the same as cookies in this policy.

2. Who is responsible for cookies

Cookies are set by Gourmet Divino SRL (first-party cookies) or by our technical providers (third-party cookies), as described below.

3. Types of cookies we use

3.1. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function and do not require your consent. Without them, the site cannot work properly.

Note: gourmet-divino-cart, gourmet-divino-favorites and gourmet-divino-compare use local storage (localStorage), a technology similar to cookies, kept solely in your browser and never sent to our servers. The cart is cleared automatically after up to 30 days from the last change; favorites and the comparison list remain until you remove them or clear your browser data.

Note: the authentication cookies (authjs.*) are only set when signing in to the admin area, not for regular customers. Over secure connections (HTTPS, in production) they carry the standard security prefixes __Secure-/__Host- (e.g. __Host-authjs.csrf-token).

3.2. Functionality cookies

These cookies would improve your experience without being strictly necessary, and would require your consent.

We currently use no functionality cookies. The chosen language is not stored in a cookie: it follows from the page address (/ro/… or /en/…). Age verification uses the age-verified cookie listed in section 3.1 — a legal obligation for selling alcoholic beverages, therefore strictly necessary rather than optional.

If we introduce such cookies, this section will be completed and we will ask for your consent before using them.

3.3. Analytics cookies

We do not use analytics cookies.

We measure the website's audience without cookies: we store nothing on your device and we read nothing from it. We record the page opened, the domain you came from, the time of the visit and a technical fingerprint computed from your IP address and browser type. The IP address itself is not stored, and the fingerprint changes every day, so you cannot be tracked from one day to the next.

Because we neither place nor read anything on your device, this measurement does not fall under the cookie consent rule. It is carried out on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR), and you may object at any time by writing to us at contact@gourmetdivino.com. Full details in the Privacy Policy, section 2.2.

If in the future we enable a cookie-based analytics service (for example Google Analytics), it will ask for your consent through the cookie banner, and the "analytics" category in the banner will control it. Until then, that category activates nothing.

3.4. Third-party cookies

When you use certain website features, third parties may set their own cookies on their domains:

• Netopia Payments (payment processing): own cookies on their domain during payment processing
• Cloudflare (CDN and security): cookies for DDoS protection and content optimization

These cookies are governed by the privacy policies of the respective providers.
