Nero d'Avola, Sicily's flagship red, from Tenute Orestiadi in Valle del Belìce at Gibellina, 200 m. Mixed soils of red clay, white limestone and mineral-rich black earth, with the Sicilian Channel moderating the heat. Four months in steel, 8–10 in French barrique, at least 6 in bottle.
