Style: Elegant & complex
Nerello Mascalese, the grape that made Etna famous, here grown in Valle del Belìce at Gibellina in western Sicily, at 200 m on mixed red clay, limestone and mineral-rich black earth, with the Sicilian Channel moderating the heat. A red leaning towards garnet, intense on the nose with berries and delicate spicy notes; on the palate it shows elegance, good structure and excellent harmony.
